Our Vision

Our vision is to see Christ who was crucified and is now glorified exalted among the nations. Our vocation is to extend this vision of Christ crucified and glorified by making disciples in His Name from all the nations.

The values that guide us in this calling as we expect Christ’s return include being biblical, evangelical, historical, incarnational, sacrificial, missional, transformational, experiential, and intergenerational.

Scriptural – Being shaped and formed by the Word of God which is an essential, infallible, and sufficient record of God’s self disclosure to us and is the authoritative and normative rule and guide of all Christian life, practice, and doctrine (Ps. 19; Jn. 17.17; Rom. 10.13-17; I Tim. 4.13; 2 Tim. 3.14-4.2; Heb. 4.11-13).

Incarnational – Being the Body of Christ as he lives in and through His followers manifesting His love and the Spirit’s gifts (Jn. 15; Rom. 6.1-11; 1 Cor. 12.27; Gal. 2.20; Eph. 1.22-23; 4.12-16; 5.23; Col. 1.18-20; 2.18-19; 3.15-17).

Transformational – Making disciples in the image and character of Christ (Mt. 5.3-12; Rom. 8.29; 12.1-2; 2 Cor. 3.17-18; Gal. 5.22-25; Phil. 1.9-11; 4.8-9; Col. 1.9-14).

Sacrificial – Taking up our cross daily, self-denying, self-giving, and following hard after Jesus for the glory of God and the good of others (2 Sam. 24.24; Ps. 51.16-17; 109.3-5; 141.2; Lk. 9.23; Rom. 12.1-2; 2 Cor. 2.15-16; 12.15; Eph. 5.2; Phil. 2.17; 4.18; 2 Tim. 4.6-8; Heb. 4.11-13; 13.15-16; 1 Pet. 2.5).

Missional – Embodying the Gospel story and living out the reign of Christ as a sign and foretaste of His Kingdom (Ps. 67; 96.1-3; Mt. 5.13-16; 6.9-10; 28.18-20; Acts 1.7-8; 2 Cor. 5.14-6.2; Eph. 3.7-12; 1 Pet. 2.9-12).

Evangelical – Embracing the Gospel of forgiveness and regeneration by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone as revealed in the Scripture alone to the glory of God alone (Acts 4.11-12; 10.36-43; Rom. 1.16-17; 10.13-17; 1 Cor. 10.31; 15.1-11; Eph. 2.8-10; 4.21).

Historical – Rooted in the richness of the apostolic tradition articulated in the ancient Christian creeds, expounded in the classic protestant confessions, and celebrated in the faithful expressions of the Church throughout redemptive history (Is. 46.9-10; Jer. 6.16; 1 Tim. 6.12-16; 1 Cor. 11.2; 2 Thess. 2.15; 1 Tim. 4.16; Tit. 2.1).

Experiential – Vibrant and living faith expressed in fresh, meaningful, and timely forms as the Holy Spirit causes the objective and historic truths of Christ’s doing and dying to be personally realized in our hearts and minds (Ps. 40:3; 51.10-13; 96:1; 98:1; 104.30; Ec. 7.18; Is. 42.10; Hab. 3.2; 1 Cor. 9.19-23; 10.31-11.1; Tit. 3.3-7; Rev. 5.9; 14.3).

Intergenerational – Worshiping, fellowshiping and serving as the Family of God and as a household of households (Dt. 6.4-9; 31.12-13; Josh. 8.34-35; Ezra 10.1 ; Ps. 78.1-4; Eph. 3.20-21; 6.4; 1 Tim. 5.1-16; 2 Tim. 1.3-7).
