Summary of Beliefs

Grace Bible Church was established in 1933 and is a local assembly of believers who have one standard for faith and conduct – the Bible.  Grace is independent and non-denominational, embracing the historic teachings of the evangelical church.

  • We believe the sole basis for our faith is the Bible, which is God-inspired, without error, and s the final authority on all matters.  As the Bible teaches, there is one God eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each fully possessing all the attributes of deity.
  • We believe God created mankind, but man defied, and still defies, God by sinfully going our own way.  As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him.  Salvation comes only through God’s grace – not by human effort and must be received personally by faith and repentance.
  • We believe Jesus Christ voluntarily paid for our sins by dying on the cross as our substitute.  His death accomplished salvation for all believers and is sovereignly applied to them by God’s grace through faith in Him alone.  Jesus rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and will return for all believers.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for growth in holiness and service.
  • We believe the church’s role is to exalt God in worship, to edify believers through teaching and care, and to evangelize our lost world.
  • We believe in the regular celebration of the ordinances: Baptism and The Lord’s Table.
