Grace Bible Church is seeking a Director of Music Ministries.  

PURPOSE

1. To coordinate and administer the music ministries of Grace Bible Church.
2. To aide in developing the worship life of GBC.

ACCOUNTABILITY RELATIONSHIPS

1. To the Teaching Pastor in the support and execution of the music/worship ministry.
2. To the GBC Board regarding the overall ministry

MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the coordination, administration, and supervision of the music ministries of Grace Bible Church.
   • Direct (and /or provide qualified leadership for) the adult choir, age-group choirs, vocal ensembles, instrumental groups, handbell choir etc. as available talent and interest allows for the continuation/formation of such ministries.
   • Encourage the development and use of musical gifts in service for Christ through participation in worship services and other avenues as time allows.
   • Plan and present special events (which may include seasonal concerts, dramatic musicals, guest artists, etc.) as time allows for the purpose of outreach to the community.
   • Coordinate and supervise the following areas of ministry.
     • Weekly worship leaders
     • Special music planning/scheduling
     • Keyboardists scheduling
     • Purchase, upkeep, and repair of musical instruments, equipment, music library and materials.
     • Budget planning.
2. Responsible for stimulating the genuine individual and corporate worship of God among the body of believers and GBC.
   • Plan, oversee, and provide leadership for creative, biblically based worship services which encourage the active participation of each worshiper as they encounter God. This will be done in cooperation with the Teaching Pastor.
   • Provide supervision to both the worship team and worship leader and make decisions relating to the weekly services. In order to achieve continuity for the musicians and the choir, the Director of Worship and Music Ministries will communicate to the worship leader details of style, tempo, transitions, and flow, while still allowing for the individual personality of the worship leader to be expressed.
   • Plan (in cooperation with the Teaching Pastor) and/or give input for special services of worship. (e.g. Missions Conference, Thanksgiving Praise service, Holy Week services, Christmas Communion, etc.).
